Erynn A. Hamel

Erynn A. Hamel is an Associate Attorney at Coastal Legal Affiliates, P.C. in Somerset MA. 

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Massachusetts (B.A. in Crime and Justice Studies), Attorney Hamel attended the University of Massachusetts School of Law, where she earned her J.D. cum laude (2022). During her studies, she received recognition for her academic excellence and was the President of the Parents in Law School Association. She completed the Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program, which seeks to provide accessible education to incarcerated students, joining campus-based student leaders with incarcerated students to study collaboratively in a correctional facility. Attorney Hamel has also earned certificates in Paralegal Studies and Law Enforcement from Bristol Community College. 

Before admission into the bar, Attorney Hamel gained a wealth of legal experience at Coastal Legal Affiliates. Attorney Hamel has worked at the firm in nearly every position; first as an intern in 2015, then as a legal secretary, and for many years as the lead paralegal.

Attorney Hamel handles a wide range of legal matters and devotes a significant portion of her practice to civil litigation and family and probate law, including child custody, divorce, estate planning, and probate litigation. She is also deeply committed to criminal defense, a field she concentrated on throughout both her undergraduate and law school studies.
